The Madison Angling Guide Service

The Madison Angling Guide Service offers a multi-species guide service the Madison chain of lakes: one of the most prolific fisheries in south central Wisconsin.  Whether you are looking for a good time with buddies, or an educational outing on your home water, we will put you on fish and help take your angling ability to the next level. Species include Muskie, Northern Pike, Walleye, Bass, Carp, Catfish, and Panfish. We also offer walleye trips on Lake Wisconsin during open water as well as spring walleye trips on the Wisconsin River. Your day will be filled with fish catching knowledge, learning new techniques, and catching fish. Professional Full-Time guide Noah Humfeld will show you the in's and out's of how to target fish here on the Madison Chain.

 

We offer full day trips (8+ hours) and half day trips (4-5 hours). We fish out of a fully rigged 2017 Tuffy 1760 Osprey rigged with a 75hp Mercury 4-Stroke Outboard, Minn-Kota Terrova, and Humminbird Helix electronics .We provide all tackle necessary to target your desired species, however, you are welcome to bring your favorite rod and reels if you prefer to use your own gear.

ICE FISHING TRIPS

Madison Angling Guide Service offers guided ice fishing trips. We have a few packages available . All equipment is included (heated insulated shack (holds up to 5), rods, tip ups, bait, and electronics. Species targeted include panfish, walleye, northern pike, and monster catfish. Large groups can be accommodated as well. (Madison area lakes only).

Full Day (8 hours+): $350 (up to 4 people) each additional angler add $50

 

Half Day (4-5 hours): $250 (up to 4 people) each additional angler add $50

SPRING WALLEYE TRIPS ON THE WISCONSIN RIVER

Get out and scratch that post ice season itch with some awesome walleye action on the Wisconsin River system! We offer walleye trips on the Sauk, Lake Wisconsin, and Dells stretch of the Wisconsin River. Trips usually start around mid March and run through April. Not only is it a great way to get excited for the open water season, it is also a great opportunity to learn unique river walleye techniques to help YOU catch more fish! Regular open water rates apply.

Live bait included in standard rates with the exception of fall sucker fishing for muskies. Trolling trips include an additional fuel charge of $30.00. We are fully licensed and insured guides.

 

*** $100 deposit due at booking to reserve date.  Full Refund for cancellations will be granted up to 72 hours prior to date of trip.  If less than 72 hours notice of cancellation is given, then deposit will not be refunded. Cash or Check only.

Items to bring include:

  • Sunblock

  • Polarized Sun Glasses

  • Hat

  • Proper Clothing (dress for the weather)

  • Valid WI fishing license

  • Snacks and Beverages (No coffee unless it is in a spill proof container)

  • Camera if desired (We can take pictures of your catch as well)

 

WE STRONGLY CONDONE CATCH AND RELEASE FISHING! In order to keep us employed we feel it is important to not over harvest. Although it is your right to keep a "limit" we do follow certain guidelines with selective harvest on our guide trips to ensure fish for the future. Walleyes over 20" are released, Northern Pike over 30" are released, all Muskies are to be released, and we prefer to keep panfish to 15/person.

Guided Trip Rules

  • All guided clients must present a valid fishing license before the trip shall begin

  • All clients must show up on time. If they will be late they must call and inform the guide ASAP.  Extra time will not be added to trips due to late arrival of client.  Clients will still be charged full trip price.

  • Guided trips during inclement weather will be at the discretion of the guide. Dress appropriately.

  • Guests may bring their own alcohol, but excessive drinking will not be tolerated. The trip may be cut short due to over indulgence at the guide’s discretion.

  • Clients will be held responsible for any damage done to company property if determined excessive and or intentional by the guide.

  • The Madison Angling Experience, Inc guides reserve the right to cancel a trip at anytime for any reason.
